  • School = No Life

So I have a Wii now, in my possession. What's more, Super Smash Brothers is out now for it, and while I have it reserved, when in the hell will I find the time to play it? It seems that I always have things going on these days, with no chance to just step back, sit down and decompress. It's non-stop Latin, with a heavy dash of Greek on the side. I knew it'd be a trying semester since I signed up for three upper-division Latin courses. I didn't expect a cakewalk. But maaaaaan, this is borderline ridiculous. I haven't even opened the Wii's box yet. It must feel sad and neglected. I can't blame it.

I shouldn't complain so much, as I know everyone around me is just as busy. But I just, I dunno, I feel like I'm caught in a giant hamster wheel. No matter how much my tired little feet push ahead, I'm somehow always stationary.

Spring Break is right around the corner, thank goodness. I can't wait! Alex and I both need time to seriously unwind. And what better place to have fun and drink merrily than New Orleans? ;)

Aaaaand, I just remembered that the Medieval Fair is also not terribly far away - I still need to obtain a costume. Hmm...

  • It's going around...

So many people around me are becoming ill lately, it's distressing. I hope all of them get better as soon as possible, but I know I'm not taking any chances: I'm going to start my orange juice chugging regimen once again. I don't really do zinc tablets, as they taste so very horrible, but massive quantities of vitamin C in the form of fruit juice always works for me. I've already been sick this semester, I've had my turn. But I don't want to give anything an inch, either. I'm on the defensive.

I have a long weekend ahead of me, as I have to attend the marine archaeology symposium, as an officer of CLAS. I'm not complaining, but I am concerned about getting all of my work done. I  have a large amount of translation to do for Cicero class, as well as an exam for Latin Composition class. I have a couple of breaks, and I will make full use of them. Er, I'll try anyway. Thankfully the thing ends at 2pm on Sunday, but man, it's going to be close.

A Wii may be within my desperate grasp. That would be amazing, but not counting my chickens and all that.

    Hooray for much-needed sleep.
